Izmir

Izmir has a nice charm to it. I like that there are parks, and that people ride bicycles. I don’t like how the entire city seems to be made up of the same ugly modern architecture.  Thankfully the late-Ottoman clock tower is a sight for sore eyes.

About mjbutterworth

I love drinking/making coffee, making/listening to music, riding bicycles, and reading about theology. I also like blogs that talk about those things. Most of all, I love Jesus because his gospel has changed my life.

  1. I liked Izmir quite a bit. Walking along the Sea was lovely. Did you get to see the St. Polycarp’s Church? I think it’s a monastery now.
