Spring Reading List: Dubliners

I needed a new novel, all my lit major friends have always raved about Joyce,  and I’m going to Dublin in less than 4 weeks. All these factors made reading Joyce’s first book a perfect choice for my Spring Reading List.  Dubliners is a collection of short stories that focus on different characters living in Dublin, most of whom experience some sort of disillusionment with life. Collectively they paint a fairly bleak picture of turn-of-the-century Ireland.  In other words, it’s my kind of book.

About mjbutterworth

I love drinking/making coffee, making/listening to music, riding bicycles, and reading about theology. I also like blogs that talk about those things. Most of all, I love Jesus because his gospel has changed my life.
